Open1722
COVESA's open-source implementation of IEEE 1722 (AVTP), the audio/video and control transport for in-vehicle networks. My contributions include eBPF-based measurement support.
Publications and projects, mostly from my doctoral work on reliable communication over contention-based WiFi, plus the open-source work I do now. Newer work shows up in Writing.

An open-source investment research platform, and my most recent fun project.
startwitha.xyz ↗This research focuses to develop a protocol that detects the communication topology of the network consisting of nodes connected via IEEE 802.11. The proposed protocol terminates with consistent topology information among nodes. The termination of the distributed protocol is initiated by the predetermined master node by comparing the hash values of the topology matrix at each node. As a part of guided research, the protocol was implemented and tested.
WiPS (WiFi integrated Protocol Stack) is an extensible libpcap-based framework, written in modern C++ with template metaprogramming, that defines interfaces and a code structure for implementing and integrating higher-layer protocols. Each application selects the subset of protocols it needs, and WiPS builds a tailored protocol stack from them. WiPS is integrated into the ns-3 network simulator for large-scale protocol evaluation.
This research evaluates the synchronization error in the Open-Sky network. For evaluation, location messages broadcasted by the aircraft received by at least two receivers (of the networks) are used. The calculated measurements are compared to the ground truth value to check the correctness of the system. I.e., the difference in the timestamps between two receivers should be equal to the difference in the message propagation delay between the two receivers to the aircraft.
